Just a thought. If a person is using the correct user name, and the resend password did send a password to the user, it is hard to believe the user can still not lock in.Originally Posted by noimad1
Be carefull not to assist with this kind of query on the open forums as we might inadvertantly assist hackers to find a way of accessing the admin section of zencart hosted sites.
As I said, "Just a thought"

And I believe this was posted by the Zen Cart admin, so if they think it is secure enough to post, then I will as well. So for anyone that is having a similar problem, here is the link the admin posted:

After you have done the above, upgrade your zen cart to version v1.3.0.2 (if you haven't already). You will then finally be able to log in. If you do the above and you are not upgraded to the latest version you still will not be able to get in....
Thanks,
Damion
Another good reason to keep your site up-to-date. Security fixes are always added ASAP when problems are found. The latest version will always have all known fixes included.

Even if you originally started with a Fantastico install ... you can begin to maintain your own site and do your own upgrades ...
You can practice by making a test directory on your site /testing and a test database ... and copy all of the Full Zen Cart v1.3.0.2 to your /testing directory ...
Read through the /docs files to help you get started ...
When you install this test site ... install the demo products ...
These will help you learn a lot about Zen Cart, the features, product setup, etc.
When upgrading a Live site ... I always start with a /new_shop directory and copy my Live site to that directory ...
Then I make a new database and load a copy of my Live site database into it ...
Then I update the 2 configure.php files to match my /new_shop and my new database name, username and password ...
Now I practice upgrading ...
There are numerous detailed threads on upgrading sites in this manner that you might do some searches on ...

I was definitely not implying that your request was not legitimate. I just want to caution against giving hackers a platform where they can get easy access to information on how to gain control on a zencart based site. The solution you quoted still require the person to at least have access to the database to run the quiry. I have seen posts on other software support forums where solutions that can be run from any browser where freely handed out. That is what I am objecting against.Originally Posted by noimad1

Is there a way to change the admin password via phpMyAdmin? It's showing it, but it's (I'm guessing) encrypted.Originally Posted by Ajeh

that should make it Password, then just login and change it.
STRONGLY ADVISE BACKING UP DATABASE FIRST!!
