Default Adding multiple weights for the same Product

    Hi Guys

I need to setup multiples weights, volumes for the same product.
eg. A product that comes ion 10ml, 50ml and 100ml bottles.

Is there a way to do this when I originally setup the product( setup all possible weights at once), or do I have to setup each weight as a seperate products.

Your help will be much appreciated

You could use attributes to do this.

Set your bottle as the main product, and then use attributes to let your customer choose which bottle size they wish to purchase. This will also allow you to add weight or increase price based upon the "attribute" selected. Just remember that if you do this, you do not enter the new price/weight into the attribute but just the amount that should be added to the main product price/weight.

    Hope that helps!

if you haven't found the answer for this yet... you'll need to do some searches - I think FAQs addresses this well.

This can be done in a couple different places - easiest for me is through catalog/products - find the product you want to have attributes assigned and then hit the 'A' on the right - this will take you to where you can create options, assign attributes, and copy them to other products

    Short primer is
First you have Option Names (color)(bottle size)
then you have Option Values (red)(100ml) - pick whether you want radio buttons or dropdown menus..
then for each item you add these attributes and give them a weight, added cost, sort order, a pictureimage etc. It is a little cumbersome at first but just plod through.
Once you have the attributes set for one product you can copy them to other products (and whole categories I think).

After you've done all that then you'll need to deal with how they get displayed in product info page. That is a trial and error process mostly - use admin/config/product info - about half way down (don't worry about editing PHP to do this)

good luck and welcome to Zen
