Effect of Configuration Sessions settings

Hello,
I wish to configure Zen Cart so that if a user leaves the cart and returns within a few moments that their session will be continued or restored.

Will any of the Admin | Configuration | Sessions settings support this behavior?

I am not sure of the effect of some of these configuration settings.

Please steer me to documentation or explanation of the session settings, particularly those marked with "*".

the settings that you have should be good,
however the basket is only stored if an account is created.
and you actually might want to turn on recreate sessions,
that way the issue of posted session Ids is taken care of in advance
