It appears that you didn't connect your database-user 'Name@' to your database when you created your 'z_tainostorecatalog' database.
You need to grant ALL privileges to the Name@ user specifically for the 'z_tainostorecatalog' database.

My ISP has this web interfase to create databases. I have to call them
to have them connect my username. I will assume that was done behind scenes.

They also have a wizard to install Oscomerce. They ended installing the thing themself. it never worked. They istalled version 2.2 is that any good?

umm ... if you ignore the bugs, security issues, lack of any features etc. I am sure that other cart is just fine ...

But ... call me prejudice ... I'd go for Zen Cart ...
