    Default Credit card problems

I am using the authorizenet_aim module to accept credit cards. I have successfully received orders with mastercard and visa. I just got an email from Discover saying that we have something set up wrong. So I put the shop back into test mode and authorize.net into test mode and endered the test Discovercard #. It doesn't accept it. I tried turning off and on Discover card in configuration>credit cards...

When Discover card is off and I run a test I get a red box that says " The first four digits of the number entered are: 6011. If that number is correct, we do not accept that type of credit card. If it is wrong, please try again."

When Discover card is on and I run a test and get "(TESTMODE) The merchant does not accept this type of credit card. - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance."

    What should I try next?

    -Chris

Yes, someone from Discover was testing it today and informed me that ZenCart is not set up correctly.

    "Dear Valued Merchant,

During our verification process we attempted to run a test sale on your website, but were unable to complete the sale as it appears that your site may not be programmed to accept Discover Card. While Discover is listed as a payment option, your site returns an error when a Discover transaction is attempted. Please ensure Discover Card is added to your website and provide your Discover Merchant number to your processor so they may update your account. In order to complete the set up of your Discover Merchant Account, please contact us after your website has been updated to accept Discover Card so that we may run a test sale. "

this needs to be done at the authnet level,
Zen cart recognizes the discover card numbers

The merchant does not accept this type of credit card. - Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason

    is a response from authorize.net

    Re: Credit card problems

Hey, I'm having the exact same thing happen with my USAepay module. We've been on the phone for some hours with everyone in the chain and the message is similar, the card test says that the cc is not accepted, namely American Express & Discover. The other cards work just fine.

As a work around I thought to cancel the AMX & Dis fees we are paying and just edit the paypal option on our site to direct those who want to use those cards to the paypal processing sight...but that is stupid, don't you think? The zecart works beautifully, looks beautiful and we've seen an increase in items per order since going live because the professionalism of it just seems to encourage sales.

Anyway we could be doing something wrong in zencart? I had a devil of a time setting up usaepay as I was using the wrong module: USAepayAPI...I don't understand the diffence with that one and the one that ended up working: USAepay...no API. Any insights???

The message we get specifically is in a red band that says:

"The credit card numbers were not entered correctly or we do not accept that type of credit card. Pleas try again or use another card."
