Images don´t appear in products

Hello everyone:
Im new on this but ihave the current problem
I am trying to upload images of my products, without any result.
I have tried to make gif, jpg and the message that appears is:

Catalog images directory is not writeable:

/home/httpd/vhosts/*******.com.mx/httpdocs/tienda/images/

First i tried to upload the phots via FTP the result is succesful there are the photos in my server, but when i explore in my admin section, find the photo and tried to upload there´s no result only the no picture aviable image appears.

Second i think, probably there is a problem with th e picture size and i have tried 4kb, 2kb 1kb images in both type´s gifs and jpg´s without result.

Third i think it was a problem with the way i made the new products, so i made new ones and there´s no reults either.

Any idea?
In fact i don´tt have any problem trying to modify any module or template.
Please help me

are their images when you click on the catagory?

can we see the site so we know what you are talking about?

did you load the photos into /images ? or did you load them into /admin/images ?

they need to be in /images .


you can also go back to EACH product and edit them and choose your photo and upload them that way.

personally i find it much easier to throw all my photos in /images.

mmhh i have tried both, upload the photos directly via admin site, and to throw them ftp via and i have tried on both directories, with no result due date.
