2 different categories box needed

Hi all,

I need 2 different categories box for different type of categories.

For example, one of them may contains tapestries, candelwicjing, and so on, and the other one contains Jewellery, such as gold, silver, ...

Is it possible, or has anyone an idea?

Yes, its possible but will probably look strange.
Just copy the file in your template, and then rename them and upload them in the same place.

Do you mean to copy the categories sidebox code 2 times, modify to enable the desired categories for each modified sideboxes only and enable this new sideboxes?

One possibility is to change the sort order for your categories so your first categories have
sort order zero and the second have sort order (say) 10. You'll get two lists separated by a
thin silver bar. Would this work for you?

I have to agree with earlier comments on how wierd this might not only look, but feel. Usability studies show that all related choices should be grouped together. In this case, you have a series of product categories that ought to all share the same space.

Of course that's not hard and fast, and depends entirely on your layout and design. If you do wish to do this, make sure that your design clearly conveys the message "this box has categories, and so does this one over here."
