Unable to add category

Alright, I'm not sure when or where, but at some point I successfully botched my ability to add categories. When I attempt to do so anywhere in my catalogue the admin window, after a long pause, displays the error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in /home/cfestr2/public_html/cfecart/admin/includes/functions/general.php on line 232

...and it refuses to list the categories/products.

Upon closer inspection of the database, my new category was input with a category ID of '' (nothing), or 0. If a manually delete the entry it starts to work as normal again, but I still cannot create a category.

Hopefully I can simply repair this by restoring the file that contains the function that creates a category, which one is that? Thanks!

Well - I've gone through any and all mods I've applied recently, and any files they overwrote....nada. At least to my untrained eye. The files I tried restoring are:

product.php
category.php
category_product_listing.php

(all in the admin directory)

Any tips? Please...?

What version of Zen Cart?

Clean install or an Upgrade?

Have you had this product in the past?

Did you import your products/categories or have all been added via the Admin?

The cart is 1.3.0.2, and was a clean install of that version. I originally imported all data from a past cubecart installation, but this category malfunction has cropped up only recently and it did work correctly at first.

Have I had this product b4? Which one, Zencart?

(I'm attempting to add a category, not a product - if that's where you're coming from. )

...and I don't have any issues in adding a product to the catalogue.

You might check to ensure that all products_id are in the products_to_categories and all categories_id are in the products_to_categories

Make sure all categories_id in the categories table have a match in categories_description and all products_id in the products table have a match in the products_description

Be sure you do not have Categories and Products in a Category ... Categories hold Products or Categories but not both

Be sure all products in the products table have a valid products_type ...

How many Categories do you have? How many Products?

Do you have an URL to your site that we can peek at?

There actually was a product that wasn't listed in the products_to_categories table for some reason or another, but upon fixing that I still can't create a category. Everything else seemed to check out.

SEFU disabled...no change in my problem, though I don't expect that you expected there to be. Thx once more.

How long does it take to load the Catalog ... Categories/Products on your site?

Hm, generally less than a second on any given page...

Are you referring to the catalogue from the admin panel? It seems a bit delayed at first sometimes (hesitates for a second or two...or 3), but not to the point it's caused a problem.
