Unable to add category

What Product Types are in the dropdown next to the New Category button?

Which are you using?

Which version of Zen Cart are you using?

Is this an upgrade or clean install?

The cart is 1.3.0.2, and was a clean install of that version. I originally imported all data from a past cubecart installation, but this category malfunction has cropped up only recently and it did work correctly at first.

I don't see any dropdown next or around the new category button. I'm only using one - the general product.

There are 5 Product Types that come with Zen Cart ...

What do you have in your product_types table of your database?

I see what are probably the 5 defaults:

Product - General
Product - Music
Document - General
Document - Product
Product - Free Shipping

Have you tried backing up your /admin and just reloading all of the files to see if something is bad or corrupt?

I don't know if you have a bad database of categories and products or what ...

You say you are timing out on trying to add a New Category ... this doesn't make a great deal of sense ...

Well, I fixed it. Still not sure exactly what the problem was. I ended up creating a new installation of zencart, exporting just the structure code from it's categories table, importing that structure to my store database, and then throwing the data back into it.

I can now create a category.
