Hiding Weights Altogether

I've turned off weights in the cart, so currently the only place the customer will find a weight is in the checkout page (where CC info is entered, here it shows weight for final shipping cost) and again in the order emails and when logged in to view the order.

So I'm pretty sure I've identified where weights are listed. I've looked through the admin and I can't see any setting to hide this so I was going to manually code comments to hide the weights. Of course if we ever change our minds on this, we have to go back and "uncomment" out the code.

So my question is whether or not there is a setting I'm not seeing that will hide weights before I hard code everything?

What shipping module are you using?

Peek at the Shipping/Packaging settings ... you could turn off the weight and/or boxes from displaying ...

I swear no matter how many times I go over the settings, the solution doesn't click when a problem arises.

That would probably be #4 question answered by you Linda over the past 6 years (I have a history at OSC).

Hmmmm...I'm still finding an instance of weights appearing through the shopping cart?

Just add anything to the shopping cart.

To remove the weight item or total from the shopping_cart page ...

Go to the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

Shopping Cart - Show Totals
Show Totals Above Shopping Cart?
0= off
1= on: Items Weight Amount
2= on: Items Weight Amount, but no weight when 0
3= on: Items Amount
