    Default which directory

my site's root directory is /public_html absolute path /home/public_html
and I installed ZenCart to /public_html/store

the site works fine but what do I need to do so the shop starts when I go www.mystore.com
I could use a php redirect script but I'm not sure if that's a right way to do this
the search engines could not index the site

hope I don't have to move the instalation to root directory of my site and change the settings

Sorry to disappoint, but if the content isn't in your webroot, nobody's gonna find it...

You could always just move the folder under public_html and update your 2 configure.php files to reference the new path .... just be careful to update all the paths properly... just insert the missing public_html/ part in all the appropriate places.

    me,

    the easiest thing to do,
    download to your desktop

    open the includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php

do a search and replace on /store/ replace it with /

    save and upload into public_html

    voila

I chamoded it to 644 and then 444 and still getting the error

When I changed the permissions with my ftp client it did not work but when I used my webhost's web based file manager the settings kicked in

    Now it works fine

    Strange
