Gift Certificate Problem

I had a customer redeem a gift certificate today. Under gift certificates sent it shows:

So her gift certificate was only for $10, but it redeemed the entire $18.50 and gave her the order for free? Bug, or is there something I'm not seeing or did wrong?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

Did they have a prior balance? As in might they have purchased a Gift Certificate in the past or been emailed one by somebody else?

I 'm currently using 1.3.0.1... I know I need to upgrade but I'm also trying to get moved to a new server and I'll do it then.

No, this was the only gift certificate. There's only one other one in the system and it hasn't been redeemed.
