Question about showcase mode

If I enable the showcase mode, can user still add product to the cart? Or the add to cart button will not appear at all? Thanks.

The Showcase status ... allows you to quickly and easily change your Zen Cart Store from an Online Shopping Store to an Online Showcase or Catalog ...

With just a change of one setting ... all shopping features are disabled ... and you have the option of whether or not the Showcase, when turned on, shows or hides the prices ...

Hi Linda,

Is it possible to have certain products in showcase mode and others in shopping mode? I'd like to showcase my designs, but allow purchase of some inventory items.

You might look into either customizing the Call for Price ...

Or, look at the Document General Product type ...

It's like a Product, same tables and all ... just limits what can be done with it, as in nothing can be purchased that is Document General ...

You could even utilize the Document sidebox to manage a different set of Categories for it ...

Might install a test directory with a test database and load the demo data and see how the different Product types work and the Categories sidebox vs Documents Sidebox ...
