Coupon by Manufacturer

HI!

I've been having difficulty with this for sometime now, lol. Is there a way I can create a coupon for specific items/manufacturers instead of categories?

For example, we have a store that sells designs created by individual manufacturers, and these manufacturers want to offer a coupon for a certain percentage off of their designs. When I go into Coupon Admin it doesn't give me options for restricting to manufacturers or products, just categories... any help?

You'd have to get trickie ...

Create a Category Manufactuers ...

Add SubCats for each Manufacturer ...

Copy the Products as Linked Products to these SubCats ...

Now set these on the Restrictions for the Discount Coupon for the proper Category to be allowed ...

Thanx, is there any way to hide those options, it would be kind of redundant to have them posted twice right? Or is there a way I can hide the manufacturers?

Create the Top Level Cat Manufacturers ...

Create the SubCats ...

Turn off the status on the Top Level Cat ...

Turn on the status of the SubLevel Cats ...
