What version of Zen Cart are you running?--> I'm using the current version of Zen Cart which is 1.3.0.2 and PHP version 4.4.2

Is the download a Zip?--> Yes, it is already in zip file format.

Does it contain any spaces or special characters?-->No, it does not have any spaces or special characters in the filename of the zip file. I just typed it all in small letters without any spaces.

What size is the download?-->145 KB to 3 MB download size.

Is /pub set to 777-->Yes, the /pub is already set to 777.

I'm crossing my fingers that someone could figure out what went wrong.

Is it just large ones that fail or both?

What happens if in the Configuration ... Attribute Settings ... you turn the Redirect to OFF?

If this suddenly makes it work, then your hosting site is not allowing for the symbolic links to work that make the Downloads more secure ...

If that is the case, ask them why this .htacces file cannot work on your server that is located in the /pub directory

I can't download any file .... large or small. I got the same results with a file that should be sold. I gave my dummy account a coupon with the same amount of the selling price so I can get the download button to appear after I switch the status to delivered. I'm gonna try that Redirect on / off method. I'll ask my webhost about that question you mentioned above. Thanks for guiding me to the right directions specially about those templates! I've done a lot of reading about that topic here in the forums and the wiki docs. It sure makes it easier to back up the files when the time comes to upgrade Zen Cart.

I'm having similar problems. I'm fairly savvy and I'm having one hell of a time building a working template. I really like the default classic green, I just want to change the text and some coloring.

I've spent hours trying to copy out the original items to a new template but when I try to turn on my revised template, I lose sideboxes and the whole layout pukes. There's got to be an easier way. What am I missing?

I'm at a loss. Can't somebody provide a simple step-by-step on how to just tweak the original template. And please God don't tell me to look at the FAQ again. It's incomplete. I've followed every step to the letter and it's not working. I think some of the ubergeeks who wrote that FAQ are assuming us newbies know every step. Do us a favor, go SLOW, I'm not used to all this directory navigation.

Help! Anyone! I'm drowning in wasted time.
