Default EZ-Pages Background Image different in different browsers

Hi there. I'm finishing up a site and I just can't find the solution to one problem. I have an image as the background of the EZ-Pages header nav bar and it looks great in IE. But in Firefox and Safari, only the very bottom of the image shows. I've checked for any type of negative margin or padding, but can't find anything. I've scoured the stylesheet, but must be missing something. Something incredibly obvious, probably. I'm the queen of losing things in plain sight.

I've tried making another image that's 66px high instead of 33px high, but it didn't change a thing in FF/S. Could I have forced it to be a certain size somewhere and not noticed it?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!

Did you know that your logo.gif, with your store name was saved as logo.gif.jpg? Try to rename it back to gif or save it as a gif.. otherwise you'll be changing a lot of code.

That's strange. Where are you seeing that? The source code says logo.gif as does properties when I right-click on it. I also checked the file via FTP and it just says logo.gif. Can you see the logo when you look at the site? Because I can in IE, FF & Safari, so that makes me think it's fine since if it were saved as logo.gif.jpg, it wouldn't show up since I have the logo specified to be logo.gif.

Download the graphic from IE or FF, you won't be able to open the saved one from IE in your graphic program.. some sort of parsing error. You will be able to open the one from FF, but it will be tagged as .gif.jpg. Save it again in your graphics program as .gif and see if that helps any.

Bizarre! I saved it again and reuploaded it, so hopefully it'll be fine now! Any idea what causes that? I've never had that happen on any of my sites before. =/

It happened to me only once, I was working on an a project with Photoshop. I spent many nights on it and once it was finished, I saved it. Well, the next day when I wanted to do one more thing to it, it was corrupted and the art work was just a mess of horizontal colors. Rawr!!! Ever since then, I just make sure that I have a back-up. I guess one of the layers went sour.

I'll clear my browser caches and check your site again. I downloaded some extentions for FF, so I can check into it further to make sure nothing else is wrong.

Eek, looks the same. Okay, I have an idea..

Your logo.gif is 700x100, but your logoWrapper is set at 700x77. Your logo is virtually sitting on top of your navbar.gif. Try and adjust your logoWrapper. I'll keep hunting.

Yikes.. I mean resize your logo.gif to either 700x77 or 700x80

I adjusted the virtual CSS and everything looks fine with those two sizes.

(sorry for the delay in trying this out...vacation!)

Yay! That pretty much worked like a charm. I just adjusted the logoWrapper to match the logo.gif and everything's coming up roses now. Thanks so much!!
