strange message when I try to acces my zencart shop:(

Hi All,
When I try to open the site where my zencart is published i suddenly get the following messgae:

1226 User 'luxim_zencart' has exceeded the 'max_questions' resource (current value: 50000)

The adress of the shop is http://www.luxim.nl

Can anyone help me to understand what happend? Before this weekend i could load the shop without any problen and now suddenly nothing more then tist oneline message

And it may be time to find a better host.

Thank you for that link!!!
I started some discussion with the host already.

But is this a common value for a shop only getting about 20 visits /day?
The 50.000 seems to be a dayly limit on the server.

the busiest traffic generatend from the shop over a week was 100 meg on one day.

When I can load the page I see
Parse Time: 1.775 - Number of Queries: 351 - Query Time: 0.284513061722

That really counts up realy fast
IS there any thing I van do to to reduce it??
The site is at www.luxim.nl and I can see it at the moment.

I also saw a trick metionnend in one of the threats to use a DB user rotation scheme? How do I do such a thing??

I menaged to get teh number of quereis don for the home page but for the product pages it can still go to about 900

I am affarid I have to try if i can follow the tips fron DrBYte:)
If anything comes up from anyone I am still very interested.

Please search the topics for optimization, especially related to reducing Number of Queries.
You can also search the related topics posted by Ajeh and she had many posts about this.

Some basic in general and for the short terms.
turn off the
- Category Count both in admin and storefront.
- try to use less attributes and simplify it to the minimum.
- when not in use, turn off the sideboxes such as the kind of Music Genres, Record Companies, Manufacturers.
- also in the center column, the New Products for "Month", Featured Products, Monthly Specials For "Month" and the Upcoming Products, they all need queries.
- and more ...

Another things to note:
you have the - Parse Time: 4.780 to 1.9.
However, it should below 1 for a normal site.

Your page for Product Listings is too long, you have at least 24 products in one page.
Other than the queries, its too long for browsing.

I aggree the listing is long but that was the whish of my friend I made the shop for.

I guess with the longer listing I get less queries in total when somewone brouwses through the listings.

The pageload speed is quite acceptable for him at this moment.
So thats not a point in this stage. This shop is in addition to his normal physical shop.

The store looks accessible now, although I am worried a bit what will happen with more visitors.
I looked at the rotating database user trick! it looks great but I am affraid it wo'nt work for me.
There is only one user per databas and I could not find where to add database users.
