Remote server SSL no support

Hello my host does not support SSL

are there any tricks or mods or something I can install on server to get this working

I have not fully have the store running yet

But does SSL really matter , Im running small business with 1800 unique customers a month

SSL does matter - to customers. People are (rightly) distrustful of buying on the internet - with internet fraud up by over 22% in the UK in the past year, and a similar story in other countries.

If webmasters can't be bothered to protect people's Login/Logout, Customer details areas, and Checkout - then why should they trust us with their money.
