Buying a certificate will ONLY work if your host has issued you or will issue you a dedicated IP,

If they dont have a cert them selves they might be a VPS reseller and NOT have the ability to offer SSL

Re: Remote server SSL no support

I was reading throught some of the 100webspace.com host support forums and they once had SSL support I wonder what happened to that, anyway I recently posted a poll on there forum who thinks 100webspace should have SSL for paid hosting.
For me its absolutely absurd after purchasing a domain name $70 US annual to host my shop and now NO ssl support. Im asking them nicely if they can get it back for paid hosting. Now im just really really really really really frustrated and going skitz over this I learnt my lesson at how to select a good host This is my second time I have been financially dismantled. but I won't give up on the site just yet. If I don't get SSL support from them $200 to whoever can shut them down.

    New,
seriously if you manage to get the ssl runing, at $295 a month they have to have 2000 accounts on a server to make any money
you will be much better off looking for a host that is designed to run e-commerce,
there is a whole link up top there,

Im not trying to sell you anything,
just save the hair you have left.

All you need is a decent host who provides a trusted shared ssl as part of their packages, and gives you the option to upgrade to full ssl if needed.

I've seen the situation before where someone tries to run th website on one server and the ssl on another - they never end well.

Should be able to get a new hosting plan on a new server with SSL support setup for that same money, even if your current host won't refund you.

A hosting company can get a good quality wildcard ssl cert for around $700 a year which will cover all of their servers. Even if they only have 5 servers that's just $140 a year to provide a shared ssl for all their customers on each server. You just picked the wrong companies!

Yes well I was looking at the terms and services of my webhost 100webspace.com

and I found this in terms of services:

"IP Address - 100WebSpace hosting accounts do not include IP address. For many customers IP address is important for starting SSL hosts and that's why we allow purchasing IP addresses. Payment is accepted only in advance per year. Contact sales for more information."

How do I purchase A ipaddress???

or how can this be used to my advantage???

reading right is it possible for refund???

Even being my first site ever creating Im sure I can get a refund for the time I have left

As they say THere DOMAINS are final nuthing else???
