updating cart tables with zencart.sql dump file

Hello Y'all - this may not be the right place to ask but i'll give it a try.

I am trying to install a template over my new zen cart.

One step indicates that I must do the following (and I quote)

"Finally update tables of your Zen Cart installation database using a mysql dump file located at /ZEN_INSTALL/SQL_DUMP/ZENCART.SQL. Contact your webhosting company for assistance."

well my hosting co is no help

so what do I need to do in my sql admin application?

PLEASE HELP any input will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know where you got that template at but basically it sounds like they are telling you to import those tables into your sql. If that's the case you can do it from your admin area by using the tools / install sql patches.

Tina, thanks for the reply, that sounded like a great plan. but I don't seem to have or can't seem to find a tools / install patches area in my sql admin screen.

I am hosted on doteasy, and they provide the phpMyAdmin 2.6 to mod php settings and create/edit/maintain the MySQL database used for my store.

would you have any other suggestions?

in the zen cart admin there is a link in the tools section called sql patch updater

But be real careful, that template is a template monster file right.

Be real careful there templates are NOT 1.3 ready and they sometimes get a little crazy with the sql and wind up screwing your cart up./
