SEO URLs - how to strip HTML tags from product names?

Hi guys

I would like to know if it's possible to strip tags from seo urls.

In example

In title of the product we use tags b and br, so title looks like

<b>Title</b><br>date and place

so, clearly seo url comes like:

www.domain.com/btitlebbrdate-and-place-p-1438.html

any idea how can i strip these tags from url?

Maybe your seo mod can be altered to notice and strip those tags before doing URL conversion. Nobody can advise in more detail without knowing which SEO mod you have; it may help to post in its support thread if there is one here.
And by the way, if you want to make pretty URLs for your visitors, that's fine, but if you think it's helpful to fake a static page with .html for search engines, it isn't - it may even be counterproductive. You can shorten the URL a bit and leave it off.
