I would be interested in this - mainly because my client does not want the "Welcome email" sent to customers, and I can't seem to find how to do that.
Thanks![]()
I appreciate this mod and would like to eventually implement something like this. The problem that I see so far with it is that it appears too confusing. Viewing bulbster.com, I see:
Does this mean to fill in my name in the "Your Personal Details" area and then my info in the Shipping/Billing areas? If this is the case, why is there an * in red by the password/confirm, etc. boxes designating "Required information"? This would be far too confusing for my customers, as the process is not intuitive. Intuitive web sites are key to success (advice: have a simple screen option where a customer can click on "Returning customer", "Create an account", or "Guest checkout", and from there the customer is brought to a new page where additional info is required).Want to skip account creation? Check here and enter your name and address, and we'll proceed right to checkout.
Also, I noticed that if I click the box to skip account creation and click "submit", I get a few error messages for failing to fill in fields. However, I also noticed that the password and confirm password fields are magically filled in. Does anyone see this as a potential problem?
I applaud the author of this mod for taking this step in the right direction....I hope my feedback is found to be useful.
Requiring an account set up has produced a number of potential
customers to leave and NOT make a purchase. How do I know?
Those people took the time and send me an email complaining
a login was required.

EXCELLENT!! THANK YOU FOR THIS MOD!
Same here = twice now we've asked sample customer why they don't buy, both times, the massive majority were put off by the checkout procedure. I've been waiting YEARS for this mod! So, many many thanks. This goes right to the top of my "must haves".Originally Posted by vwebworld

hi, where did you get the mod?
This sure would be a good mod to have. I'd rather collect the data on my customer at the end, than make them jump through the hoops at the beginning.
Is it ready? If so, where can I get it?
Thanks,
K
you do collect the information at the end,
