This thread has the solution for Image Handler and Scrolling Sideboxes problem
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=75257
It helped me, thanks.
Does anyone know how hard it would be to modify to make this mod use products from a specific category or even a sub-category?
For example:
Our web site has a category called bargain basement. Under that there are 4 sub-categories:
60% off
70% off
75% off
80% off
A mod like this would come in very handy to scroll what discounted products are available. They are NOT on sale (per se) but the categories are setup using salemaker with non expiring dates.

Hi, my Scrolling Specials Sidebox look ok in firefox & I.E7.
In I.E 8, the 1st image scrolls up than disappears, than resatarts than disappers in a loop. When i run it in compatability mode it looks fine.
Does anybody have a solution?
Thanks
would certainly appreciate any solution to this myslef. It works fine in Firefox but IE8 just scrolls the same image over and over - but if click compatibility view (which a lot of our customers might not even know about!) then it works - could do with a 'fix' for this if possible?

I found a post on here about the problems with the Scrolling specials IE8 issues.
It solves it by forcing ie8 to ie7 compatibility mode. You are suppose to add this code to your html_header.php
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />
But i havent a clue where the correct html_header.php is & i dont know where abouts to stick the code
Does anybody have any ideas?
