please help me with my template

hi all...i'm new to zencart.

i have a website...http://www.paintlesstoolsonline.com. we have 3 products there for our shopping cart...i know it's very small and it's only a one page site...a landing page is all it is.

i download zencart and have all the files...

my question is...what files do i edit to make zencart look like my template?

please advise and thanks for your time.

actually...that page is html driven...the images are not by way of the shopping cart...it's in the html page.

i'm sorry if i sound so nubish to this...i'm so new to shopping carts...

can someone tell me how all this works?

For a brand new user one cannot tell you enough how important it is to read the include docs (in the docs folder of the files you unzipped) and the wiki docs ( the button for those is up there ^^) -

The particular portion of the WIKI that pertains to customizing can be found at :

But really you should read all of it so that you understand what Zen is and how to use it :)

one thing i dislike about 'reading instructions' in doing this or anything for that matter, i can never find or follow suite. it's not as easy as someone coming in and speaking in lehman terms so to speak...

for example...it says...

"# Copy the directory includes/templates/classic to includes/templates/my_own_template "

but i don't see a "templates" directory inside the includes folder. i mean something as little as this just throws it all off. i don't see a templates folder anywhere.

that's whats irritating you know...so how can i move forward if i cant even find that templates folder...it's nowhere in the stuff i downloaded.

they say it takes but 15 minutes to get your cart up and running and even someone as myself whose not so php savvy but html savvy...needs way more than 15 minutes. just frustrating.

man this tutorial is NOT helpful...there's like 5 million instructions...whatever happened to just installing , adding and running???

If you can't find the includes/templates folder then you have a bad set of files which you have unzipped.

It is a default folder supplied by Zen in every single distribution.

I suggest you re-download your files and get the FULL fileset.
