I still can not find where to change the SALES MESSAGE GOES HERE on the main page. I looked in the main page editor and the index.php. Where is it at?

It's called the Tagline.
The text that defines it is indeed in inlcudes/english/languages/english/YOURTEMPLATE/index.php
The area that calls it into your template is at:
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php
