Question about MainWrapper and it wide

Hello, I think, I don't alone, who want to ask this question, and maybe the easiest way give me URL to topic with finished solution.

I have Zencart 1.3.0.2, and start adjusting css. By FAQ I change #mainWrapper section to

#mainWrapper {
	background-color: #ffffff;
	text-align: left;
	width: 80%;
	vertical-align: top;
	}

And, after that changing I got only big white field, which occupied required 80% of space, but general section does not stand 80%.

I can show screen shot, but I have reasonable hope for your comprehension.

Unfortunately, I making testing on my localhost, and only after that I transfer changes to main shop, currently I have problems with that and I post screen shot from my localhost.

This screen shot from IE 6.0, but also tested in Opera 8.53 and FF.

Cannot tell much from screenshot..perhaps install demo
store on webserver to experiment..localhost does not
always show true coding etc
