Link Point

I am having difficulty getting my Linkpoint to work with the zen cart
install is 1.2.6d
Linkpoinr say that everythng is good their end and that I am setting the parameters up right, but I am now getting the error

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are presently unable to contact the Credit Card company for authorization. Please contact the Store Owner for payment alternatives.

I am using in test mode. Please help me get this straightened out.

Blessings

Re: Link Point

Where did you get the "linkpoint module" that you're using? Perhaps a URL where I can look at the code and comment on its compatibility with your version of Zen Cart...

Re: Link Point

Try using the older one designed for v1.2.x and see if it works any better.

HOWEVER... this begs a couple questions:
- who is your host?
- is port 1129 open for inbound and outbound traffic on your host's firewall?
- is your transaction showing up in the LinkPoint website in your merchant transaction log? It should show "declined" if you're getting errors back on your site.

Re: Link Point

I got the shopping cart from my host.
I am not receiving anything in link point
I used to get an email from Zen Cart saying that someone ordered and it had all of their information in it, but when I went to link point there was nothing.

Should I still try the old version?

FYI ...
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are presently unable to contact the Credit Card company for authorization. Please contact the Store Owner for payment alternatives.

The typical causes of the above message are:
1. port 1129 not open for bidirectional communication
2. CURL is not installed or not functioning
3. incorrect or invalid or "no" .PEM file found in modules/payment/linkpoint_api folder
4. In general it means that there was no valid connection made to the gateway... it was stopped before it got outside your server

Re: Link Point

With respect to point #3 above ... did you download your 987654321.PEM file from LinkPoint and upload it to your server ... as explained in the readme in the contribution files?

( 987654321.PEM will be replaced by your merchant number in the file provided by LinkPoint)

Re: Link Point

Yes I did upload the PEM file.

I will be trying a totally new install this afternoon and I will be emailing my host to inquire about port 1129 and CURL.

Thank you

I'm having this same problem. I uninstalled linkpoint v1.3 and installed the older version, but now I get the message "We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are presently unable to contact the Credit Card company for authorization. Please contact the Store Owner for payment alternatives." Port 1129 is open on my host. The transactions are not showing up in linkpoint. I have production mode (live)set in admin.

I'm calling the host this morning. I finally got an error last night that tells me that curl in not working. Hopefully enabling curl will take care of this problem. I'll respond back when this has been taken care of. Thank you for all your help.

I wanted to leave a note from my tech support for the future and to help others:

"The issue was probably because the port was opened only inbound. I had to open it outwards too as you mentioned bi-directional.

Well, next time you see such issues, just refer this ticket in your support request so that we know exactly what configurations are needed for your scripts to work. Normally the the non standard ports (port 1129) get blocked during a server / account upgrade or restore."
