hello,
my name is chris, and i work for checkmark inc. we use zencart for our website at checkmark.com
my question is this... we recently added a coupon via zencart. everything appears to work well... however, we found out that if a customer is in colorado (and we are located in colorado, and charge colorado tax) that the coupon does not apply correctly
please see the attachments...
the 2.37.49 attachment shows a purchase of 109.00 by a person in colorado... with appropriate state and local taxes applied
the 2.38.57 attachment shows the ten percent coupon applied... as you can see, the coupon is correct at -$10.90... the CO state tax has correctly gone from 3.16 to 2.84... the fort collins tax has not changed from the $4.20... also, the Total is $118.54, which has not applied the $10.90 amount of the coupon...
the 2.42.36 attachment shows the same purchase made by a customer not in colorado... you can see the -$10.90 coupon applied in the Total of $100.60.
so, my question is why does the coupon not apply correctly when there are local/state taxes applied?? is it something in my settings?? is it a bug??
thanx in advance for any help you can give!
chris
