    Default perweightunit module

    Right, in my store I need each product to have it's own shipping cost. I've had a dig around and i think the perweightunit mod is the one for me. Only thing is I am running 1.2.7 and I can't find a download. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance.

    You can try downloading the Full Zen Cart v1.3.0.2 ... and see if the Per Unit perweightunit.php shipping module will work with v1.2.7 ...

    I am thinking that it just might ... but you would need to test this ...

    I've added
    catalog\includes\languages\english\modules\shipping\perweightunit.php
    and
    \catalog\includes\modules\shipping\perweightunit.php

    and then when i go to modules>shipping in the admin i get this error

    Fatal error: Class perweightunit: Cannot inherit from undefined class base in /home/cotswoo/public_html/catalog/includes/modules/shipping/perweightunit.php on line 13

    which means nothing to me. Did I miss something or is it not compatible? Thanks for the help by the way.

    You did put the code in:
    /includes/modules/shipping

    And you did put the language defines in:
    /includes/languages/english/modules/shipping

    Correct?

    I added two files, both called perweightunit.php to both those directories, yes.

    Try an experiment ...

    Look at this line 13 in perweightunit.php
    PHP Code:
    class perweightunit extends base
    Now look at the same thing in your item.php

    Does it read:
    PHP Code:
    class item extends base
    Or does it read:
    PHP Code:
    class item
    If it reads different, make the:
    PHP Code:
    class perweightunit extends base
    match so to speak ... and see if that fixes it ...

    'class item extends base {'

    did not exist anywhere in item.php, but

    'class item {'

    did. I changed it to read

    'class item extends base {'

    which is what I think you wanted me to do. Right? Now when i got to shipping in the admin, I get this error

    Fatal error: Class item: Cannot inherit from undefined class base in /home/cotswoo/public_html/catalog/includes/modules/shipping/item.php on line 23

    Thanks for sticking with this!

    No the other way ...

    The idea was to use item.php as your guide ...

    If you saw:
    PHP Code:
    class item
    I wanted you to change the perweightunit.php code to read:
    PHP Code:
    class perweightunit
    And see if that fixes it ...

    Now put item.php back how it was originally ...

    Edit the perweightunit.php and change the one line in there ...

    Now is it happy?

    Like that eh?

    Just add to the products_weight

    12.00 if you want charge $12.00 shipping for that item ...
    2.00 if you want charge $2.00 shipping for that item ...
    3.00 if you want charge $3.00 shipping for that item ...
    etc.

    based on the setting of 1.00 in the shipping module ...
