Changing Product Category Layout

Hi,

I'm hoping to get a litle help with the product category page. I've already pared it down to look something like this:



But I need it to go as far as looking like this:



I found that this information is coming from a var called $body_code but I can't seem to figure out where that gets defined or how to change it.

I also noticed that most of the pages are using a function that takes the $body_code at some point and runs it through to make a table. I'd like to circumvent that altogether.

Can anyone give me some pointers on how this might be done?
