One product, different sizes - Can it be done?

Hello,

Here is my scenerio.

one manufacturer - one product - different sizes and price.

can it be done?

right now i have the product listed on the site. but i want to clean up the look of it. because the same product it is listed 3 to 4 different times on the same page due to the different sizes.

It will be nice if i could be one product, when you select it will give you all the diferent sizes.

Yes this is completely possible...with some reservations in the current version of ZenCart.

You would setup one product, create an attribute name like size, create attribute values like 1oz.; 1.7oz; 3.4oz. assign these attributes one at a time to the product and set the price differential there also.

You could create this for each fragrance with the fragrances being a separate products or you could add an attribute name like fragrance and attribute values of the actual fragrance names.

Your Choice...

The reservation: stock by attributes, or to say more simply; Currently, the stock/inventory is not trackable for the attributes. This feature is to be added in the next release, but that date is not yet known but will be in the next 6-12 months, we all hope.

How do you do all that?

I try creating a new product, but how do you set up all those attributes. like size and price?

do you have sample you can show me? I am currently using Easy Populate Advance.

I notice that Easy Populate has a Data Template for attributes. but i have no idea how to set it up. Does anyone has a sample i can take a look at.

basically in admin go to categories/products> option name manager

create the option name size

then go to the option values manager

select size in the dropdown menu and add your sizes one by one

then go to the attributes controller....choose the product you need to add sizes to and in the bottom grey box choose "size" and one of your sizes in the other box...add on the extra cost below that and click insert....do the same for each size...

theres no need to do it for each product... if you need to add the same sizes to another product choose copy to product or category

DaCubanKidd ... you have a configuration issue on your products ...

Currently, you have Minimum = 0 and Unit = 0 ...

These settings are meant as the quantity of the Product that the customer may order ...

Example: To make customers order a minimum of 12 and in units of 3 such as:
12, 15, 18, 21 ... you would set the settings to:

Minimum 12
Maximum 0 (0 for unlimited)
Units: 3

For normal ordering where you order 1 or more of the Product, the defaults are:

Minimum 1
Maximum 0
Units 1

I tried doing the attributes things but no luck!

Is there anyone that can help me do this? I already have the inventory up on my site, i just want to make it so it will be one product then when you click it will give you the different sizes and prices, then you can buy which ever you would like.

If there is anyone out there that is able to do this project, i would gladly pay you for your time and service or make a appropiate donation to ZenCart.
