Coupons not working

Hello!

I am having trouble getting my coupons to work in my Zen cart. I have tired a few things but still they are not working.

I have tried to just select the catagories, then I tried to select the catagories and then products.
But this is what it does, it says:
Congratulations you have redeemed the Discount Coupon
But does not apply it.

Any help appreciated!

What version of Zen Cart?

Clean install or upgrade?

If an upgrade ... what version were you?

How is the Discount coupon setup?

The newest version of zencart, it was a install from my host then upgrade by me.

I think it was a 1.2.2? Not to sure sorry

The discount coupon is set up for $ ammount with all the catagories choosen. I think that is what you mean.

First ... go to the Tools ... Server Info ...

Copy everything from just below the menubar up to and including the php version so we can see for sure ...

Next, go to your Gift Certificate/Coupons ... Discount Coupons ...

What are the precise settings on your Discount Coupon?

Then, look at the restrictions ...

What are the settings there?

You have allow and deny settings on category and/or product ... can you be more specific?

Oh sorry I forgot to say in the PM that I ALLOWED all the catagories. Did not deny anything.

One of the main issues is a Discount Coupon is for:

1 Free Shipping

2 Amount

3 Percentage

You cannot mix Free shipping with either Amount or Percentage ...

On the GO1 coupon you have:

Mixed the Free Shipping and the Amount ...

Next, you have 5 Categories defined and Several Products ... but several of the Products are already in the Categories ...

This could confuse the issue ...

You also have this set to:

Uses per Coupon: 1

Uses per Customer: 1

That means this coupon could only be used 1 time by 1 person then no one else could use it ...

If you want the coupon used by other people but only once per person, you want to leave the Uses per Coupon blank for unlimited uses on the coupon ... but only once per person, Uses per Customer 1 ...

The other coupon is setup for 5 Uses per Coupon and Uses per Customer 1 ...

That is 5 people can use it then no more and they can only use it once ...

See if that information doesn't help you to set up a working coupon ...

Note: you have the Modules ... Order Totals ... Discount Coupon ... setup to include taxes yet you have no taxes defined ...

Be sure to check those settings on the Restrictions so you don't have them ganged up and duplicated ...
