How to know if Payment Module is working?

Hi all, I'm new to ZenCart and I just wanna ask how do i check if the payment system is working right? Do I have to purchase using my own credit card to the same credit card? I mean I only have 1 credit card, how do i do that?

Also, what does the payment system use (phpmail() or SMTP/POP3)?

Do you have a Merchant Account so that you can accept credit cards? Your Merchant Service will specify the gateway they use and will have a testing procedure.

I'm not sure that what you said is what you meant.


Can you please explain why you're asking these questions? I'm assuming you are encountering a problem, and are looking for a solution. What is the problem?

I think I'm asking both DrByte. I just want to make sure that I chose the right host that supports the requirements of zen in the area of payment, the thing is that I don't know what really are the requyirements of zen for a host.

Actually, I just want to make sure that the cart would work for the first time since it is my first time to install and use this system, and I don't want to end up frustrated..hehe
