Help with .css

I have been learning how to customize my site. I have searched all kinds of posts, looked at the wiki, etc.

I still have a hard time figuring out what is going on.

Most things I look at will say look at your stylesheet.css for "this"
I will not see whatever was referred to, in my stylesheet.
I also have stylesheet_new.css and stylesheet_old.css in my template dir.
What are these for, If I remove them my site disintergrates :)

Am I not looking in the right place? I am concetrating on my custom template dir.

One thing I wanted to do was to change the text color for the breadcrumb text.

Are there any graphical docs to show what does what where? I have an idea of what I think that should look like.

Any help would be appreciated.

To assist in this get FireFox and the web developers tools and the css viewer all available from mozzilla. With this you can determine each area and the class.

Uisng the class you can find it in your stylesheet.css file. While you are at it convert from the original & new stylesheets/template to one based fully on the template default files. You can make this yourself or download one from the downloads templatess section.4
