Default Install - Which file and how

    Okay

I want to download and install zenCart to try out...... but am a bit confused because I went to the download page and there is v1.3.0.2 with 2 zipped files - I am assuming I should d/l the full fileset zip?

Then there is a note recommending reading the release notes first - but there are none? Or have I totally missed them???

    thanks

    Misty

Thanks - have d/loaded and unzipped the file.. but now I can't find the "installation" file??? Is it something obvious and I just can't see it?

I want to try installing ZC on my PC first and try to have a play with it before loading it on to the server but don't know enough about databases and php.

I do have xampp but I don't know how to use it!!!

Inside the /install.txt file in the zip is a brief installation overview with notes to direct you to the /docs folder in the zip for more detailed instructions.

    Dr. Byte

I should have slept on it first and then queried........... thanks, I had a closer read of the install.text and it mentioned the read-me scripts in the docs folder......... that was some of the info I am looking for.

Hopefully I will be able to work it out from there..........!

    Thanks

oooops - actually meant to also say (just in case there are other newbies like myself) that I was looking for some kind of "exe" file and saw all these folders which kind of confused me because that's not what I expected.........

THAT's how "new" to this I am..........

    cheers
