Different options for different countries

hiya,
I have done a search on this, but cant find an answer.
at the moment i ship to 21 different countries, and have 2 payment options (paypal & cheque/PO) What i am wanting is to accept paypal from everyone, but only accept cheque/PO from orders in the UK. Is this possible ? I know on the payment options page in admin, it says zones for cheque, but that only gives the foreign zones .. i deleted them and just created one called UK, but it then gives that option for foreign countries in checkout .. I am so lost you wouldnt believe it .. my head feels like its gonna explode lol .. the site address is www.costumejewelleryaccessories.co.uk (this has adult goods on)

1. create a new zone ... call it "payment options for UK only"
2. edit the zone and choose "United Kingdom" and "All Zones"
3. edit your cheque/PO module(s) and in the Zone field, choose "payment options for UK only" from the list.
Now customers whose billing address is in the UK will not be offered cheque/PO options

I cant get the zone to appear in the drop down list in the cheque/PO options thingie. This is exactly what i did:

I went to admin, locations/taxes, zones
I pressed new zone, and entered the following:
Zone Name: Payment options for UK Only
Zones Code: All Zones
Country: United Kingdom
I then went to admin, modules, payment
I selected check and that option is not in the zones part.

ooo i just thought. In admin, locations/taxes, zones definitions I dont have anything in there. Am i supposed to add Uk Zones ? put all the counties in ? or am i getting mixed up and that has nothing to do with this lol
