Default Shipping Estimator and Tax problem

    Hello all.
I am a new zen user and I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Working on V 4.3.1, installed Aust Post Module last night and now I am having some problems that I need some help with.

    1. If you go to the shopping cart and just browse, the prices are not showing the tax, and the shipping estimator does not come up. Just shows (close window)

    2. If you create an account and log in the tax prices are showing and the shipping estimator is working.

I am sure it is something simple, but I can't seem to find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Andrea

    Hi Gerald,

    url is www.polyinn.com.au

I have been fiddling with this and i seem to have the tax problem fix, the shipping estimator is still not workig and now I am having problems with the checkout and payment.

Credit card and Pay pal are not an option for Australian buyers, but the strange thing is that we had a sale last night that was processed via credit card, but when I check with my on user identity I don't get the different options.

    Thanks for your help
    Andrea

When i enter your store and add a product to the shopping cart. I then go to shipping estimator and I get the "error message for Auspost" but a flat rate fee comes up. What I have to do is select my state and province, hit update and the correct fee for postage comes up. I believe that this is normal for aus post to australia since they require a postcode to determine the rate. In different countries, the postcode is irrelevent since people are normally charged the rate for that country and not a region of the country. This is how it is working on my test site.
If I would have created an account before "going shopping", then the sware already knows my postcode and state, so no error pops up on "estimate shipping" Following me so far
I am not too sure on the payment issue you are having, my suggestion is that you allocate "Zones" to your countries, then with the zones, you can tell different modules (post, flat rate, payment options etc) which Zones to use. Ie for payment, use COD for "australia zone"only, and for paypal & CC use "world zones"
    Hope this helps

What was your solution? This helps other people down the track if they encounter the same problem and read this thread.
