Customer not getting emails

Her e is the problem. When a customer creates an account they do NOT receive the "Welcoming" email. They also don't get order confirmation emails.


For Email transport method I've tried. Sendmail, sendmail -f, smtp ... no diff.

However, I DO get an email saying that a customer has created an account. I need them to be notified also.


I am using DREAMHOST as my web host

- does this happen to *all* your customers, or just select customers?
- what email domain are these customers at?
- have you asked your host whether that domain is blacklisting your site/server?

I created a test account with a gmail address, no confirmation or welcome gets to me. From reading some threads I can't say for sure but I think this may have happening since I (myhost) installed my SSL cert?

Can this affect my emails?

Hi there
Zencart, out of some reason will not notify if an email bounches so make sure that the test email you are using really works or maybe better use an email address you know that works.

In my experience, the customers said that they didn't receive the emails.

Testing with my own email address I discovered that I didn't receive anything, either...

But there was a misunderstanding.

The emails WERE sent..... but when they arrived to the customers machines, they were sent to the Junk E-mail folder, so, the customers didn't see the emails.

I leaned out to my own Junk E-mail folder and... Bingo! The test emails were there.

If this is your case, you could tell to your customers that check their junk or spam system.

I am having the same problem, my installation is 1.3.2 on linux VPS centos 3.4 Cpanel, i am using smtp with server authorization, I can get the emails for confirmation and also the copy of the welcome email but not the customers, i did try with a gmail, hotmail and yahoo mail account of mine and friends but no email to the customers, also i did try to send a newsletter and no mail come, even when the green checks appears for all the actual registered users who opt for newsletter from us.:cry:
Please help!

try using the sendmail -f option. Mine works now.
