Flash to link to zen pages

Hi,

I have created a flash file for my top banner and a few flash buttons in it. How do I link my flash button to any of the php pages.

eg. I would like to link the About Us flash button to the About Us button of the side box, so that when a person click the About Us flash button it will show the same page as if he had click the About Us button of the side box.

I have managed to do it for Home flash button. that was easy but for the rest of the buttons I am stuck.

copy and paste the URL from the sidebox as the link in your URL in your flash movie.

be sure to NOT include any zenid=xxxxxxxxxx with the URL though.

Just saw your thread and am hoping you can help me resolve a little problem I am having with some flash buttons.

I have created a new header for a site I am designing. I have added this to the Zen cart and it loads great.

I have placed four buttons for the key areas of the site within the movie.

When I run these in Flash 8 everything works a treat but when I try the same movie in Flash 9 the buttons will not work until the text link to home (top left of screen) is clicked.

The command I use for the buttons is:

getURL("http://www.vision-itservices.org/ecommercedemo/index.php?main_page=index","_self");

where main_page=??? changes depending on what I want to display.

I am at a loss to explain why the buttons will not work on first load and as this is my first site with Flash I want to get things right.

Do you use the same command? as your buttons work a treat on loading.

Just went over and have a look at your site, you have a nice site

The problem that you are facing is not because of Flash 9 (what? they came out with Flash 9) nor Zen, it is an IE problem, I face the same problem too and have resoleved it with the help of TinaS, you can read it here:

Basically, what you need to do is call in your flash using javascript.
