Checkout probelms with new payment module

Hi.

Ive created a new payment module. When the customer clicks "Confirm Order" it redirectes them to the appropriate website where they can complete the payment. The problem is that im not sure on what page i should return them to after they have payed.

I tried linking them to checkout_process and checkout_success but both give a login time out error.

How can i get it to work?

should be checkout_process, however you need to carry the session ID

How do i carry the session ID over?

Do you mean i need to maintain the session somehow? Or link to the page like "index.php?main_page=checkout_process?sessionID=dfgfdgfdgdf" ?
