    Configuration of IH2

    Hi everyone,

    I've already looked through the support threads for Image Handler 2 and have found quite a few people with the same problem as me, but unfortunately was not able to find an answer! Basically I have installed IH2 and everything seems to be fine except it does not actually resize the images for small/medium/large. I have double-checked that GD is working correctly on my host server and have tried with a few different products and images, all to no avail.

    If anyone could help me out I would be most grateful!

    Thanks,

    Christian

    More information please.

    Which version of Zen cart?

    Have you gone to Configuration | Images menu and changed the default settings?

    Specifically have you set "IH Rsize Images" to "Yes"?

    Are your images in jpg, gif or png format? If not, change them.

    Sorry everyone,

    Am running version 1.3.0.1 of Zen Cart;
    It says "Yes" next to IH resize images under the configuration-images menu;
    All images are in .jpg format...

    Have just installed IH2 as per instructions and have copied the appropriate files to my template directory too, no other settings have been changed...

    Hi everyone, I'm sorry but I still haven't got an answer

    I've got resize images switched on and everything and I've looked through the Image Handler support thread but I can't find the answer, only the problem! If anyone can please help or at least refer me to the right page in the IH2 support thread I would be most grateful...

    Thanks,

    Christian

    I'm no expert on IH (have not used IH2 yet), but how did you verify that it was working on the server? Can you get your server people to upgrade to the latest GD and also install ImageMagick and try that?

    GD is one of the PHP scripts that resizes (downsamples) images. It is often preintalled on Linux servers (I think it is part of the standard PHP install).
