    I second that Andrew. This forum doesn't need morons like Accurax. If you can't understand instructions like that, theres no need to throw bad language into the mix. The guys who create these modules - like Andrew - aren't charging for them, and they ain't gonna help people like you with an attitude like that.

    You are mistaken, it is not in the comments. Be patient and wait a couple of days.

    I have just downloaded an installed that analytics addon by andrew, I noticed 4 files other than the sql's, however in the instructions, i believe there is only reference to two of them

    Do I need to add ALL of these files or just the two that are referenced in the readme. I think the other two are something.. onload_googleanalytics.php & jscript_googleanalytics.php

    Having just come accross this thread, I've been through about 40 pages and cannot actually download the mod.
    The "download here" on page 1 gives a 404 error, and there's that much to-ing and fro-ing on the pages after that my head is spinning!

    Can someone point me toward the proper link to download this add-on please?

    Or has a way to just paste in the required google code been settled upon??

    Many thanks.

    Hi Get Bucked!

    I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but here's the link where to download Google Analytics: http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=891

    I've modified this module to not require a modification to html_header.php.

    To do this, perform the following steps:

    1. Remove the includes from html_header.php if you've already installed this module.
    2. Rename tpl_footer_googleanalytics.php to jscript_googleanalytics.php and move to ./jscript/

    This will cause Zen Cart to auto load the file sitewide.

    Just downloaded and installed this mod, and comparing Google's code with what gets written - some discrepency. First the 2nd half of Google's code:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    try {
    var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-470188-4");
    pageTracker._trackPageview();
    } catch(err) {}</script>
    Now the second half of the code written by this mod:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    if(!pageTracker) {
    var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker('UA-470188-4');
    pageTracker._initData();
    pageTracker._trackPageview();
    }
    //-->
    </script>
    Note the difference starting in lines 2 and 3 ... is this OK?

    thanks,

    Default Google Analytics Integration-help please!

    Hi,

    I installed this on v1.3.8, have followed all the instructions but am getting the below message:
    Tracking Not Installed (Last checked: Apr 18, 2009 2:33:28 PM )
    The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.

    Did I miss something or does it take a while for it to find the code?
    I can't seem to figure out what i've done wrong

    I have checked the source info on my home page and don't see the code that I installed on the bottom of tpl_main_page.php

    This is the code I pasted into the file:
    <!--eof- banner #6 display -->
    <?php
    require($template->get_template_dir('.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE,
    $current_page_base,'google_analytics') . '/google_analytics.php');
    ?>
    </body>

    Are there spaces between the code and </body> that are missing? Would that make a difference

    however when I check the main page source I don't see this, all I see is at the end:
    </div>
    <!--bof- parse time display -->
    <!--eof- parse time display -->
    <!--bof- banner #6 display -->
    <!--eof- banner #6 display -->

    The other thing, when I am in the Admin Page for Zen Cart and check the source code I see the below, however the Google Analytics Web Property ID (shown below) is not the one I have for my page.... ?
    </div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www.");
    document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-5907240-1");
    pageTracker._trackPageview();
    </script>

    thanks in advance for your help
