Google Analytics Integration

Hello All,

I have Google Analytics installed. When I'm viewing my site in FF Firebug shows the following error:

googleanalytics_outgoing_init is not defined
http://www.kcbgraphics.com/
Line 1

I see this error occuring in the forum but don't see a solution.
Does anyone know what I may have done wrong?

SQL Patch tool - HELP...


I've moved all the files etc.
I have the instal.sql file in the public_html dir....

I am ready to rumble.

But how do I install a mod, I have been searching all morning and don't want to appear a total noob.

I've read the readme etc but it just says install it using the tools>install Sql Patches tool.


Basically what do I type?

Yes, the Simple Google Analytics mod does.

It provides the following:

1) Ecommerce Tracking
2) Standard Google Analytics Tracking
3) Adwords Conversion Tracking
4) Goal / Funnel Tracking
5) Can use either the newer ga.js tracking code or the Legacy (urchin.js) code.


It currently does not provide outbound link tracking (not often used and not needed for increasing sales conversion anyhow.) Easy install and all built in.

- Support of all optional parameters tracking Google's
- Support for custom campaign tracking variables
- Tracking of search queries on the site
- Monitoring visits by visitors have issued the order
And so on.

Good points Andrew. There are distinct differences between the two versions of analytic mods. Andrew did a nice job of listing that out here (as I am not aware of all the differences myself).

Hopefully your post helps others understand the differences and answer some of their questions. :)

Im not sure if I installed this correctly, are there supposed to be some changes in the front page of the site? When do you normally see the results/information?

I have always noticed that the ecommerce data is off from what is actually happening in our store. Google Analytics is not recognizing all of the transactions, both Paypal and credit card. I have tried to figure out if there is a pattern but I cannot see one. This makes me wonder just how accurate the rest of the GA data is, is it 100% valid? I am using zc 1.3.7.1 with all patches, the latest GA mod and have tried both urchin and GA javascripts both with wrong results. It says that we had 58 transactions from 7/11 to 8/11 when in fact we have had 148!!

Does anyone else experience this?

I feel like an idiot, but I have installed Andrew's Google Analytics and when I add the code:

-to the bottom of my tpl_footer.php and tpl_main_page.php the site totally shuts down, not showing anything but the background. I add the script before the </body> on the main page, but there it isn't even there for the footer.

I save it in my custom template and I have version 1.3.8... help

I've looked all over this thread and no one else is having this problems so I guess I'm just retarded. Please help the retard
