If you don't have any configuration options in the admin panel for the addon you likely did not upload all files or uploaded them to the incorrect locations. Re-check all are in place correctly.

Second: Which module did you install? There are two Analytics Modules. The easier of the two to install is Simple Google Analytics.

If you installed Google Analytics by Andrew you'll need to fully uninstall that to install the other.

To remove it make sure you look through the original package and delete each file that was uploaded. If any changes were made to files you'll need to remove those as well (not the file ... just the lines of code you might have added.)

Then follow the install instructions in my README (it's a quick install) and you should be ok. Make sure you don't miss STEP 3 of the install (some do.)

Let me know if you have any questions.

I just put google code into includes/templates/your_template/common/html_header.php just before </head>. Works fine to date. Just one little thing about templates: some of them do not have html_header.php file at all, that means they use the default one. In this case you'd need to put google code into includes/templates/template_default/common/html_header.php

    p.s. I'm using v1.3.9

Actually, that is not the proper way to do it.

If your template does not have that html_header.php file in it already then the proper thing to do to utilize the zen cart override system (and avoid your files being copied over when you upgrade) is to copy the html_header.php file from the "template_default/common" directory into the "common" directory that is associated with your custom template.

So if your template was running from a directory called "mytemplate" then you would copy the html_header.php file from the 'template_default/common' directory to 'mytemplate/common'.

That's how it should be done to keep within zen cart standards.

The only way you want to use the template_default directory is if that is the actual template you are using to run your site.

Hi, I have tried integrating Google Analytics and it is working as expected for my static website www.okoqu.com but the code needed for tracking and conversions on the store www.okoqu.com/store is not working. I think I have followed all the instructions but not showing up?

The analytics results are showing nothing for the /store/ bit, I am probably being stupid....

    Any assistance would be appreciated!

    Cheers

I looked at your site and noticed you are using the Google Analytics by Andrew. There are some reported issues with tracking on that and I have not used it.

I would suggest uninstalling that and then reinstalling the Simple Google Analytics mod (see my signature for the link). It's a very easy install and should solve your problems.

When you un-install your current version make sure you completely remove all files and changes made or you will have problems still with tracking.

It brakes down the whole thing. Main page does not show up properly. It shows only the navigation panels, not the content.
