Can someone please clarify if it makes a difference how Google AdWords Conversion Tracking Number is entered on the configuration screen. The format on the configuration side is XXXXXXXXXX and the format on google adwords side is XXX-XXX-XXXX

Yes, it makes a difference. I have not seen a google adwords conversion tracking number with the "dashes". Unless they changed something, I am not aware of any.

In any event, the typical conversion tracking # usually does not have the dashes and thus should not be entered. If you could post a screen shot (or PM it to me), I'd be interested in seeing what you are looking at for research. It always helps to understand any latest potential changes.

Hmmm i thought it had dashes as well....

I couldn't find the number in google analytics but when I got the email for google, it said:


Your AdWords account number: ###-###-####

(# represents numbers given in email)


I assumed that was what I was suppose to put in google analytics mod.

The way to be sure is to login to your Google Adwords account and then get the number that way (act like you are setting up conversion tracking, and take note of the number within the script they give you to insert).

It could be that any of these variations work. I will research it to find out if there have been any alterations to the numbers recently.

If I move my site to a different host, do I need a new analytics code and reinstall?

This mod says it applies to Zen Cart v 1.3.6. Will it work for 1.3.8a?

Hello Andrew,

This may be just my store setup, but I installed the mod and sql patch. If I have something in my basket and go to checkout, it pops up with the following.

Do you want to display the unsecure items on this page?

YES NO

I found that if I delete the javascript file for this mod, the problem goes away. Obviously the mod won't work without them.

I added the code to the bottom of tpl_footer as stated.

I have simple google analytics by Eric also. Is that the reason?

Yours is for ecommerce tracking, and Erics covers the rest so I would like the two really.

Just thought I would let you know about it anyway.
