Default Adding HTML content to sidebox areas

Well heres the deal adding a new sidebox won't work for me I need to add HTML content (.gif fireworks menu) to my left sidebox area without it being inside a sidebox.

Also it would be ideal if I could actually add this menu to the leftside of my site in the background area. I moved the site to the right so there is a nice area for a MENU just can't find the right place or file to add the HTML menu.

Either will help, but the 2nd idea would work best for me. I tried inserting HTML code this way (haha yea it's noobie I know): <div style="position: absolute; top: 21%; left: -3%; width: 229px; height: 410px; z-index: 1"></div> It worked well however at different resolutions it screws the site because the template doesn't know it's there.

You can try adding it to the body tag in the css and you will be responsible for the positioning & style of same there also

You can add it there but it will not be positioned where you had posted

Do you mean TPL_header just saying thats how others add there own header banners I don't need it in the header. I was thinking like TPL_left or TPL_main_page one of those files might work? Tired them, but don't know where to add the code get pharse errors. Also tired some files in moduels couldn't get any of them to work either. Has anyone ever done anything like this?

So basically I need to know which file this can be done with, and where I should add the code sorry if i'm confusing people.

Thanks for the help though Korba.

Left side in the background area. I moved the whole site to the right.

If that can't be done then inside the sidebox area without being inside of a sidebox :)

    Thanks hope this helps.

I'm sorry, the various descriptions you've given so far don't make sense to me.

Perhaps re-explaining from scratch so that a tired mind can comprehend, and providing a link to where this can be seen, might help.
