Lowdown on adding pages to INFORMATION Sidebox

i have a problem with the more information sidebox, i have added 2 extra pages but they dont link, i have gone to the define page status and they are not there, but in ez pages they are showing and on my shop front too. can anyone see where i am going wrong

EZ Pages are different and do not show up under the define pages. EZ Pages have their own side box. If you want to add links to pages to the information side box you'll have to create a custom file in your template folder. You can find the original template file in /ncludes/modules/sideboxes/ the filename is information.php. Copy that into /includes/modules/sideboxes/[your template folder]/information.php and edit it to include your link.

If you're thinking, "why don't I just edit the original file?" it's because it will get overwritten if you do an upgrade, which means you'll have to remake all the extra links. look here http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p..._API_Overrides and you'll see how the system works with predefined ways to override the original template and modules.

You do have another option since you've already created EZ pages and that is to re-create the pages you want from the information side box as EZ pages, turn off the information side box and turn on the EZ pages side box. It may be a bit of work to recreate the extra pages, but I'm thinking it's better then having to use define pages for some things and then EZ pages for the other items you've created as EZ pages already. I'm not certain how to make links to the EZ pages, but I guess you could do a cut and paste from the browser's address bar into the information.php and get the information side box working like that.

I do not understand what you are saying. I can not imagine why your content would not show unless your font color is the same color as your page background color. Do you have any links you can show us where this is happening?

i have created the extra pages by copying and pasting in the relevant directories (i think) and made them in the define pages editor, i have managed to link them but when i click to open them there is just a back button and no subject content. Sorry i have no links to show. is there anything else i need to do, can anyone help please

Thanks, have turned on Page 1 , 2 etc in Configuration/Define Page Status, but they still do not show up... I have the value for them set to 1. I can make the other items in there appear or disappear (Shipping, Privacy etc.) but not the Pages...

I should mention that Page 1, 2 etc appear in the site map, but not in the Information Sidebox.

What am I missing?

ok, i cant find where you can change the values to add or remove items from this box. which file is this located in?
