image directory location, can I move it?

I have a directory of 29,000 images for products. How can I share those images on my own server, with different zen carts of mine, on different domains of mine.

Remember, my server, my zen carts, my domains. I simply want each zencart to find the images where ever I choose to put them. BTW each image has the same name as the model number, example model-number.jpg.

PS: I have a custom made store product bulk uploader, easier and faster than anything else I have found. So, no problem adding a image URL to this file which writes to the zen cart db/tables. I just dont know if there is a place in the db to write the url to the image or does the zen cart code need to be modified to find the images in a unique directory of my choosing anywhere else on my server.

Did you figure it out? If so, could you tell me how you did it? After I upgraded to 1.3.5, I started having problems. I used to put
define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/'); as
define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', '');
in the catalog/includes/configure.php and that's how mine worked for locally stored pictures and pictures with urls. That isn't working anymore because the script is forcing there to be the word images/ in that area that I had always left blank.
