Category breadcrumb removal

Ok, so I have set Admin/Configuration/Layout Settings/Define Breadcrumb Status to "0" - and yes, wahoo! I have lost the breadcrumb trail at the head of my pages...

However, what I really want to lose is the category breadcrumb that appears at the top of my individual product pages (just above prev l listing l next buttons)

You can set another character symbol or just eliminate it, but leave the spaces like so:

Doesn't work dude! Not for me anyway. That just defines what symbol appears between each breadcrumb in the header doesn't it???.

When I go to an individual product page ... in the top left corner (below the header breadcrumbs) I have a single breadcrumb which is the category title of the product. Even more annoying is that there appears to be <br><br> between the very top of the page and the category breadcrumb!

I want to lose "Cold Sandwiches" and the gap above!

I have tried what you said and " &nbsp;&nbsp; " is what currently resides in the Navigation Separator box.

In Configuration/Product Info/ switch off Previous next - Navigation includes Category

Sorry about the confusion/wrong suggestion, I thought you meant 'breadcrumb' with your initial explaination.
