Fundraisers - Adding new field?

Did you ever figure out a solution for this? This is exactly what a client of mine wants. I have thought it all through in terms of developing custom software to interact with their existing database, but now I am considering whether it would be worth switching them to Zen Cart, and doing a module there for them.

Hi,

Actually, that's kind of what I did with my shop. If you don't mind the trouble, you could use attributes to achieve this. No custom codes required. If you don't want to add the attributes one by one, just do a SQL import after all the products are ready.

Ok, I'm going to resurect this one. Basically the same thing that the first poster said...

I want to do a site for a fundraising company and upon checkout they could enter a fundraising code (much the way the coupon code works). I think what would be best is if there would be a drop-down of charities and then they enter their pin. If it matches then they can checkout and it will show, for example 50% going to that charity and the sale's persons name. Also we'd want it to show on the invoice.
